The artist suggested that I switch from acrylic to watercolor. They really captured the true features of my husband and me. This will be the best anniversary gift ever. Thank you!

Trustpilot Rating
Watercolor paintings from photos have a soft, luminous quality that other mediums can’t quite capture.
Every portrait is 100% hand-painted on watercolor paper by real artists who have spent years mastering the medium.
Watercolor’s translucent washes make it especially effective at recovering detail from old, faded, or blurry photos, turning imperfect memories into striking artwork.
We use industry-leading colors and high-quality paper to deliver a fantastic experience and an absolutely realistic custom painting.

What Our Customers Say
My mom’s friend passed away a few years ago, and she had only one picture of her. I decided to surprise my mom with a painting of them both, and it turned out beautifully.

My mom loved her childhood home on the river. As a birthday gift, I wanted to get her an acrylic painting, but I was advised to switch to watercolor instead. Loved it!!

Frequently Asked Questions
Custom Watercolor Portraits from a photo start at $129. The price may vary based on the size and number of characters. Please create your order to know the exact price at checkout.
Yes, as long as the painting has dried, one can roll the watercolor portrait. At PortraitFlip, we ensure the painting is rolled with a transparent film to prevent smudging. It is further wrapped in a secure and sturdy tube before shipping.
If you have blurry photos, we recommend a Watercolor Portrait because it does not require the minute detail of other mediums. The watery texture enables excellent restoration of blurred photos in painting. With Watercolor Portraits, memories stay with you for a lifetime.
No, it won’t. We recommend getting it framed for better longevity.
