A boat says a lot about the person at the helm. Celebrate yours with a custom, handmade boat portrait from your photo. A painting for the sailor of life.
Captains have commissioned ship portraits for centuries, with the name and home port painted in.
Send us your photo and our artists will make yours by hand in that same tradition, so anyone who knows your boat will spot it at a glance.
We paint sailboats, yachts, fishing boats, ships, and powerboats. Want a date or message painted in? Just add it to your order notes.
It makes a gift for the boat owner who already has everything, or a keepsake for yourself.

Why Commission a Portrait of Your Boat or Ship?
A new owner may rename her and take your name off the transom. A custom boat portrait keeps her name and all on your wall.
A portrait of the boat or ship you sailed or served on marks a career at sea and makes a retirement gift worth hanging.
Remember someone through the boat they loved. A portrait of a father’s or grandfather’s boat keeps her in the family for good.
For the boater who has every gadget, a painting of their own boat makes a Father’s Day, birthday, or Christmas gift they’ll hang up.
Customize Your Boat Portrait
Here’s what you can add to your boat portrait to make it special:
Add Her Name, Home Port, Or A Date:
Add a date or a short message, like “Maiden Voyage 2026,” and your artist will paint it in. Mention it in your order notes.
Change The Background:
Swap the marina for open water, a sunset, or your home harbor, and we’ll leave out the neighboring boats and pilings. Mention it in your order notes.
Add People From A Different Photo:
Put yourself, your crew, or a loved one on deck, even if they were never photographed aboard. Our merge photo service combines the photos into one portrait.
